Covid-19 relaxations: Restaurants in Maharashtra will now remain open till 12am, big relief for restaurateurs

MUMBAI: The Maharashtra government has allowed shops and restaurants to function for extended hours.

Shops in the state can now remain open till 11pm and restaurants and eateries can operate till 12am. Earlier, business hours were restricted to 10pm.

The state government on Tuesday issued a fresh order allowing these establishments to operate for extended hours owning to the festive season.

With this order, shop timings have been restored to the pre-Covid times, while restaurant and bar timings were 1:30 am before the pandemic hit the state.
