Skoda Auto launches limited edition Rapid in India, price starts at Rs 11.99 lakh

Czech Skoda Auto car maker on Monday launched a limited edition of a middle size sedan quickly in India at a price starting at Rs 11.99 Lakh (Former Showroom).

Matte Rapid edition will be available in the color of the carbon steel matte and will be powered by a 1-liter gasoline engine with an automatic transmission option and manual, said Skoda Auto India in a statement.

While the manual transmission option is priced at the price of Rs 11.99 Lakh, the automatic transmission variant is marked at RS 13.49 Lakh (former showroom), he added.

Commenting on the launch, Brand Director of Skoda Auto India Zac Hollis since its launch in 2011, The Rapid has traveled a successful trip in India with more than 1 Lakh customers. It has seen great resonance with car fans throughout the country.

“Taking a further success story, we are pleased to introduce a quick matte edition in India. In this addition, the portfolio quickly developed further to reach new customers. With a distinctive style and a broad list of features, I am sure that this product will see big demand,” Add it.

The new edition has a number of new design features such as new glossy black radiator grille and spoiler in front plus carbon steel matte color, glossy black door handle, black side mold and black stem lip ornaments, among others.

It comes with all black alloy wheels and offers important safety features such as dual airbags and anti-key braking systems in all portfolios.

Rapid Matte Edition is also equipped with a rear parking sensor, anti-glare interior rearview mirror, front glass defogger with a timer, three high-adjustable point seat belts in front, rough road packages and immobilizer engines with a floating code system, the company is added.
