Social Media Team Of Imran Khan’s Party Arrested For Criticising Pak Army Chief
Islamabad: Eight Social Media Activists from Pakistan Imran Khan Tehreek-i-Casa have been arrested for allegedly running a vylification campaign against the Head of the Pakistani Army Gen of Qamar Jawn Bajwa.
The arrest was made by the Federal Pakistani Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday in various parts of the Punjab Province for targeting the head of the Army and Judge of the Supreme Court on social media.
Khan was overthrown as prime minister after the non-confusing movement of the opposition together with him succeeded on March 8 in the following days, the campaign against the Bajawa gene appeared the top trend on Twitter.
According to FIA, he has received a list of 50 suspects involved in the social media campaign against military heads and upper court judges from intelligence agencies and eight of them have been detained.
Hundreds and thousands of tweets blame the head of the judge and the head of the Army responsible for Ouster Khan on the US orders.
Aide near Khan Asad Umar said in a tweet: “The petition challenges the abuse of Social Media Activists PTI has been completed and will be submitted in the High Court on Wednesday.” Meanwhile, the meeting of Pakistani army officials on Tuesday recorded a campaign against institutions on social media and expressed full trust in leadership “attitudes considered to enforce the constitution and supremacy of law”.
According to a statement issued from the Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR), the 79th Formation Commander Conference was held at the General Headquarters attended by the Army Corps Commander, the major staff officers and all the formation commanders and led by the Army Chief of Staff (CoAs ) General Bajwa.
