Punjab Congress chief Sidhu calls Capt Amarinder ‘spent cartridge’

Punjab Congress president Navjot Singh Sidhu said on Wednesday that previous boss clergyman Capt Amarinder Singh will be recognized as Jaichand, a prototype deceiver in folklore, of Punjab’s political history.

Calling him “genuinely a spent cartridge”, Sidhu asserted that Capt Amarinder was an arm-turned, Enforcement Directorate-controlled faithful boss priest of Punjab who offered the premium of the state to take care of himself. “You were the negative power slowing down, equity and advancement of Punjab,” he asserted in a progression of searing tweets. Sidhu mounted the blistering assault on the miniature writing for a blog website while the previous boss clergyman was tending to a public interview in Chandigarh.

The two have had a long-running tussle that saw Sidhu leave Amarinder Singh’s service in July 2019, yet he made a rebound as the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee boss precisely two years after the fact in spite of the Capt’s complaints. Last month, Capt Amarinder Singh was made to leave the CM’s post after proceeded with resistance by Sidhu and insubordination of a few priests and MLAs. He has now reported that he will coast his own political outfit and is confident of a seat game plan with the BJP.

Sidhu accuses Capt of colluding with Badals, BJP

Sidhu said that a three-part board of trustees was framed (by the Congress central leadership) to make Capt Amarinder Singh responsible. “For what reason were MLAs against you? Since everybody realized you have crashed into Badals! All you need is to overcome me, have you at any point needed Punjab to win? Your 75/25 dealings with Badals and BJP are completely clear (sic),” he asserted.

Sidhu inquired as to whether he (Capt Amarinder Singh) was casually unloaded for great administration and the 18-point plan was given “to the least fortunate performing CM of Punjab”.

Attacking the double cross previous CM’s political moves, Sidhu tweeted: “Last time you shaped your own party, you lost your polling form, collecting just 856 votes… People of Punjab are again standing by to rebuff you for thinking twice about the interests of Punjab!”
